Just manage groups better and dodge timely, don't spam buttons and always look around. The Yydren and dodging is the bets way to go though, that was a good shout. No time to mind control either as you get owned before you can get the spell off. I find they attack far to often and so in groups by the time you've actually swung the sword at one of them Geralt just gets swarmed by 2 others. Originally posted by Regret and Redemption.

I've been using rolls and not dodges, but I'm starting to think the rolls are a bad choice. You probably dodge them stepping back while you should be stepping to side, still they swarm you pretty bad and the worst thing is that their AI is kinda ridiculous, they won't leave their spawn so you cant lure one outside, as soon as you leave the spawn it will run back in circles probably getting bugged or stuck on the way.

Igni, bombs and yrden works great, as does Aard. Drowners are easy to kill as long as you keep your back free. It jumps back - wait for it - dodge to a side - attack times - it jumps back again. Just use the short dodge, rolling is only useful to cover distance. THis game? Last edited by Regret and Redemption 25 May, pm. First witcher, they were noob fodder to kill by the dozens - 2nd game, abit tougher but still nothing rough. I thought the same thing for a while until I started using Yrden whether there is 3 or 5 of them, Yrden will definitely keep them in check. They attack in groups and lunge forward so far that it is near impossible to get off any attacks without taking a couple of hits yourself. Plus on most enemies using the upgraded versions of the signs is pointless because of the delay from holding Q. Can't parry them I thought we were done with roll roll roll click click click combat. Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. I'd really think it should be the opposite I can't shot them with a crossbow on land. They are usually just something in the way to get past, such as a chest or underwater entrance so I simply use Quen as protection while I swim around. But, basically jump in and start shooting while putting on a rambo face. I usually just swim as fast as i cangrab the loot and dodge the enemys a bit, rarely get hit underwater even when i bump into them. Crossbowbut not to kill them only to drive them away a bit.
